ODPDS Professional Design Solutions - stepping into the future

ODPDS was commissioned to design the Bridgend Driving Instructors Association website in 2002 - this was the outcome of a unanimous decision by the Association at a committee meeting after a recommendation was made by one its members.

Formed in 1991, the Bridgend Driving Instructors Association aims to further improve the quality of driving instruction available in the Bridgend County Borough, South Wales, United Kingdom. Other initial aims are to raise the profile of local driving instructors in the Bridgend County area.

The association has successfully campaigned for highway improvements in the local area, organised many successful driving school seminars (which have been open to outside driving schools) and has regualary supported local charities through fund raising events.

Construct website to W3C standards ensuring good usability and cross browser scalablity. The website to be a directory-based site comparing all driving schools throughout the entire Bridgend County Borough that are affiliated to the Association.

The website was completely designed by ODPDS from its initial conception to the finished project where we were responsible for the total development/design together with all Information Design and Architecture of the site. ODPDS was responsible for the complete re-design of the site in 2004 to coincide with the second anniversary of the Association's Internet presence and is privilaged to still be involved with this project where we continue to manage the website on behalf of the Association on an ad-hoc basis.

HTML, DHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Macromedia Fireworks MX, Adobe Photoshop, Fuji Film S7000 digital Camera. The development of this website has been completely hand-coded using Dreamweaver software as a background tool.
